Mediator Services
Mary Notaris is available as a neutral third party to help couples reach an amicable, fair and reasonable agreement. She helps parties identify their core disputes and find common ground. She can offer suggestions regarding property division, child custody and visitation and other contested issues. If mediation is productive, she drafts the divorce agreement or custody settlement for approval by the court. Mary is also currently working towards being a certified mediator and expects to be certified by the end of the year.
Preparation for Mediation
Your attorney usually attends mediation with you. Your attorney would prefer to be in your session to assist in obtaining the best resolution for you. If Mary Notaris represents you in divorce proceedings, she makes sure that you are fully prepared to stand your ground and make good legal decisions in voluntary or court-ordered mediation. Mary will highlight the weak points in a spouse's case to move them off their position. Similarly, she discusses what you are willing to sacrifice to control the outcome of your divorce.
